PT, DPT

Physical Therapist | Desk Staff

Kris joined CFM in 2019, started working at the desk in 2020, and officially started her Physical Therapy services (Focus PT) at CFM in 2021. Her athletic background includes playing soccer in college at Tennessee Tech. She was introduced to CrossFit because Rich Froning and Dan Bailey were strength trainers for the student athletes, and they incorporated CrossFit workouts into the strength program.

"Those who think they have not time for bodily exercise will sooner or later have to find time for illness."

MORE ABOUT KRIS

Why did I start CrossFit?

Officially: Prior to moving to ATL and officially starting CrossFit, I was working out regularly with other PTs doing “CrossFit style workouts.” I didn’t know anyone before moving here, so I wanted to find a CrossFit gym so I could meet people with similar interests (working out, staying “fit,” healthy lifestyles) and make new friends.

Favorite CrossFit Midtown memory?

There are so many to choose from! All the holiday / anniversary parties. Meeting my best friends and Kevin at CFM.

What do I do in my spare time?

CrossFit – duh. PT at CFM, travel, arts & crafts, paint, play soccer, game nights, binge watch the newest TV show / movie.

What is my "day job?"

Physical Therapist – I am an acute care PT at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital, and I own my own PT business, Focus PT, providing outpatient PT services at CFM.

Advice to new CrossFitters?

Ain’t no shame in the scaling game.

Favorite CrossFit movement?

Anything upside-down: handstand walking, handstand push-ups.
